Container Feeder Service
In the Tokyo Bay area, which situates Tokyo, Yokohama and extending to Chiba, ports of Yokohama and Tokyo have been designated as a Super Hub Port, and the need for marine transportation of container cargo is increasing.
Currently, the transportation system by specialized container barges continues being in operation with three pushers and four barges, and since the start of the service in 2006, there has been no accidents and demonstrating excellent cost-performance by its safe, reliable and quick mass transportation.
Yokohama Barge Service has also received high praise for reducing the environmental load by combining with it land transportation and responding to requests from BCP to arrange water feeder routes in the event of an emergency such as a natural disaster.
